714-Project Calls for Day of Prayer, Repentance

Yet another call is going out for prayer and repentance in America. The latest prayer event is set for July 14.

It’s called the 714-Project and, like many before it, organizers are pointing to 1 Chron. 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

“As a Christian of the United States, I am appalled on just how our precious nation has deteriorated into such decay and decadence,” say Richard and Rita Indiveri, who are heading up the 714-Project.

“Murders, promiscuity and untruthfulness have become the norm. Jews, Christians and religious organizations are being persecuted. Aborted babies are being discarded like a used tissue. Stealing and lying have become acceptable. Racial division encouraged. Terrorism on the rise. Money and drugs have become idols.”

On July 14, the Indiveris are asking believers to pray for the United States, and to ask God to heal the land. They suggest that prayer can take place within the local church, at home, or just among friends or with prayer groups.

“Make this a holy day for yourself and family. Present it as a holy offering. Do this in honor of him who loves us so much,” the Indiveris urge. “And at 3 p.m., all Christians, get on your knees and pray for God to heal our land once again. This is the most holy hour of the day. Jesus, our Savior and God’s only begotten son died at that hour.”
